Today in our Nitijela (Legislature) there are two different types of Senators - 18 of them are AKA - elected by the People (the voters) and 15 are the UDP - these are elected by the Chief Electoral and IOIA team plus the former Minister of IOIA. Well I'd like to share some good ideas to Mr. President and his Cabinet member dealing with Money. Since we have some invalueable Senators at our Nitijela, I think it is the best interest of the people to first start the cutting of salaries with all these 15 senators first cutting their sitting fees and let them live with the salaries only due to what they did to our ELection. But the 18 let them have the same sitting fees and salaries as well. No cutting because we know you work hard and very serious. How does it sound? It is a punishment for them. I don't see their worthyness in their seat as a Senators. I know them well and I don't think it is good to pay them from our taxes for nothing. Well Mr. President for the Cabinet we the people don't mind if you guys keep the housing and others benefits as a whole, we don't want cutting on your salaries and wages and other benefits. Just cut the sitting fees and reduce the 15 senators who the past administration. That's the proposal from the People first, your Excellency. Thank you on behalf of the People of the Marshall Islandls.

I'm 100% AKA Supporter and a true believer of Democracy im "Armej Mokta", but I'm 200% disagreed with your statement. This is absurd, Jej jab Ukot nana nan nana. If they are going to cut Salaries and other benefits from the Nitijela members, it should applied to all Senators, Including his Excellency and his Cabinets.

Senators are Senators under any laws, even what party they represents, they represent each and everyone of us. Therefore, I suggest that if it's going to be a DOWNSIZE, then it should not based on what party u'r on, but under what circumstances we are facing today Economically.

MOLEO, you speaking for yourself and your family ilo am ba men kein. 15 Senators were elected the same way the other 18 mistake Senators did. I may have relatives within the 18 ako I don't really care bwe ejab eman im fair men kein.

MOLEO,

I have agreed with most of your post and most of the comments you post in these forums but this one that you have posted is totally out of the question. I totally disagree with your post. I thought you were about democracy and for the people and the 15 other Senators were also elected by the people.

If the 15 Senators get a salary cut then the other 18 must also get their salaries cut. We are for the people and the people and democracy is the way to go. You are being selfish and stubborn, you should delete your post because it is totally not the way the new Government intends to operate.

MOLEO,
Do not say or write stuffs that would make people from around thw world laugh at our government. You were complaining about what happened to the 2007 Election; yet you can't find better solutions for the Republic's problem.

We are a democracy country...discrimination against other senators would be disastrous to our Republic, not a solution.

BUT BECAUSE OF OUR MANIT NOBODY ACTED LIKE - WHAT IS HAPPENING IN KENYA, AFRICA TODAY. THE VIOLENCES IS ESCALATING AND NONSTOPABLE, BECAUSE DEMOCRACY FAILED. SO IS THE WORLD GOING TO LAUGH AT US OR TO THE REST OF THE WORLD. WE ALL SAW WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE ELECTION AND THERE SHOULD BE SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH CRIME COMMITTED.
