  • psst. emman lok fire e ri-jerbal rani jen lon non lal..

    once u sneeze, u snoose, u loose!
  • Is this a joke?..everyone knows what 911 is for,..whats the point here? Is our Consulate office anticipating any of our sick citizens to be in any danger as we count down for 2010? This is the reflections of the office and its staff--this is their true color. For nearly 20 plus years since i've lived and worked in Honolulu, this is what I've seen and observed. Read between the lines--any questions is to forwarded to one of the staff (offical/unoffical) and not the Consul General himself. Why? This is how they treated the Marshallese community for so long. The time is right for the adminstration of President J.Z. to replace thses incompetent people in this honorable office. Take for example the way they transported our President J.Z. to a funeral in Ewa Beach 2 weeks ago--he (president) was transported in a rental car and was picked up in a pickup truck by Kenneth, where is Noda Lojkar? If I were to have a new year's resolution for my honorable president, tis would be it: fire them all! I totally agreed with you bwebwe. Aloha...

  • No comment. Just wondering. Why post this WARNING online and not just walk down the lovely stairs and foretell it? That is if this was intended for its (Office) patients. Maybe the rooms are equipped with computers now and that patients are on a locked down. I've had patient family members who experienced good and bad things.

Happy New Year and hope nothing urgent occurs to them...

"JAB LO NOTAAN ARMEJ"...unless if you(ejner.e7) are a shinning beacon of perfection yourself.

Ij tomak, baj jok "Kojjela" men eo, when did it became a "Gossip-Centeral Open Forum?"
  • Tu-lingling,..this is for you: if you have been living in Honolulu for so many years, you know what am talking about. The announcement came as a joke--the office needs to be in tune or level with our Marshallese citizens toward their needs and concerns. I don't know you, but for me, I dealt with facts and reasonings. It doesn't take a rocket individual to figure this out. As far as our President being transported to/from the funeral site, (not to mentioned his waiting time) its a fact. I don't claim to be the beacon of truth at all times, but as an individual, I strive to be a better Marshallese who can level with my fellow Marshallese within the community. If you live here long enough, you would know how these higher ups in the office address our concerns from time to time. To me, I look at position of consul general a "calling" and not a salary occupation. For this reason alone--I'd be more in-tune with my fellowmen and the rest would be history. The problem in the office today--is long overdue. Ijamin kar lo nootan armij rein rej jerbal ilo office in an RMI elane er make reban kar make in kejedeiki nootan er make--the records speaks for itself. But Tu_lingling, show your true ID and and be brave to enter these discussions truthfully. Stop using call-sign and hide your true id and your true nature. If you are the friends of these elites in this office and anywhere, welcome onboard and reveal your ID. If you're not updates with the office and the way they run the office from top to buttom, and the way they look down on the entire Marshallese community here in Honolulu, I recommend you take RMI101. Until I know you true ID in this forum, I see no need for futher discussuon on this sad and unfortunate situation in the office itself, and those who runs it. Happy New Year to you!

  • MODERATOR NOTE: Regarding the Kojjela for the RMI Hawaii Office, Roderick Kenneth Capelle, Admin-Assist, sent the following response to be posted here:

Email, RMI HCG Front Desk, 1/03/10
In regards to the "Kojjela. On the last day of 2009, 31st of December". I would like to take this opportunity to apologize and retract the last line in the "Kojjela".

It was my responsibility to word and post the kojjela, I thought a little humor for the new year would have been harmless. However, from the comments that I am seeing on this site, it shows that professionalism should have been paramount and I should have screen the "Kojjela" through my superiors before I posted it. For that, I ask for your forgiveness and understanding on this Happy New Year.

    Komol,

    Roderick Kenneth Capelle

  • My personal view on this subject of the kojjela:

    >>>If it is an emergency call: 911>>>

Last I know, there is no 911 in the Marshalls to use to get immediate ambulance/police/firemen help whereever you are by calling one phone number.

This 911 procedure is only in U.S. and might be unique to newcomers.

I see nothing wrong with putting this comment in the Kojjela considering that the offices would be closed, and I didn't consider it humor.

Some people unfamiliar with the U.S. system of emergency help which is available to any one who calls with an emergency, might not know that it is available to Marshallese.

Considering what I have learned about how some of our RMI citizens have had trouble here in the States, I don't take anything for granted -- including that they know how to call to get help.

The more information out there the better.

So, in my opinion, no apologies are needed.
