Per news at MI Journal, Journeys Of The Heart is out and Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota is in, for processing of adoptions of Marshallese children by US citizens. Journey’s never posted a breakout of the costs involved but the Lutherans provide a detailed breakout of all costs.

I think estimate for travel and per dieim on Majuro on low side, and since estimate dates back to February 2010, no doubt costs have gone up since.
Creates almost as many questions as answers but regardless, clear that anyone making this level of commitment (time and money) is not doing this adoption on a whim.

“I hope the signing of the LUA (Land Use Agreement) allows the Government of the Marshall Islands more time to focus on the biggest issues it faces – how to raise the level of education and health of the Marshallese people and how to create an economy that will be stable after direct US funding ends in 2023.”
US Ambassador to the Marshall Islands Martha Campbell, as quoted by MI Journal, 13 May 2011, pg 4
