reportIn response to the March 2011 Special Visit Teamâ€™s conclusions and ACCJC June 30, 2011 Action Letter Recommendation 4, CMIâ€™s Board of Regents and permanent College President worked closely with the members of the newly elected and constituted Republic of the Marshall Islandsâ€™ Cabinet to agree on a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The key terms of this MOU, which was approved by the RMIâ€™s new government on March 5, 2012, document:
(1) The RMIâ€™s Commitment to Provide Operational Support for CMI for Fiscal Year 2013
through Fiscal Year 2016;
(2) CMIâ€™s Commitment to Maintain Accreditation; and
(3) CMIâ€™s Commitment to Maintain Compliance with Grants Terms and Conditions.
In the appendix of the report there is a copy of the new MOU for RMI gov contributions to CMI.

SUBJECT: Finance MOU with the College of the Marshall Islands
At its meeting on March 5, 2012, the Cabinet:
approved and authorized the funding of the Memorandum of Understanding with the College of the Marshall Islands appropriated at $3M per annum, commencing fiscal year 2013 until 2017, in support of ascertaining and maintaining WASC Accreditation.
