Well I hope none of us on this issue has any relatives living there in Arkansas. They will be included in this lice chewing incident. I also hope that none of us advised the guy to parted wityh the car the way he did. After all, what lead him to try to work on a payment plan, was he in default? If so, then why accepted the deal in the first place? Anyway, hope he learned from the mistakes of unjustly parting with the car, and accepting the deal he couldn't meet. Don't you worry brother, now you learn, move on and don't repeat the mistake. I'm sure no more lice bitting there in Arkansas. We all learned, let's not do it again people. I still love and believe in you guys. We shall overcome one day. -

On the Lice bitting issue - Its something that inerent in our culture. You can't stop it and so can I. barefoot, my friend, I have seen it done in the public park in Springdale, AR while driving by. I've also seen it done in thier home, but I think it's okay then inthe public park. The lice bitting is usually done by our elderly folks while spending time with thier grand kids at the park. Ocassionally you see young girls doing it.
For you OurSuccess, you probably don't notice, but where ever you are I'm pretty sure folks are doing the same thing as in AR.
Do I have relatives in AR? Yes, but I don't see them doing it inthe park. What will I do if see them doing it in the park. I sure will embarass them on the spot. One thing I just don't get is that there are treatment for lice at WalMart. I mention WalMart because it's the store where many of our relatives go for shopping, and they sell the lice treatment for $7-8.
As for the car> Yes he was in default, big time. Accepted deal? He had a job, but now he is jobless. Will he learned from this? I hope so.
I must say that, "When tax season come around in Springdale, our brothers and sisters use their refund to purchase NICE Cars/brand new car, and then, four or five months later the dealership/bank repossessed their cars. Such behavior happened every year." I don't mean to put down our fellow marshallese in Springdale; the intention here is to get you guys involve by sharing your best advice that may help them make the right decision. By sharing I'm sure together we can help them pevent this from happening in the future.

Neen_JeKein, what a good attitude man. "Together we can help" is a sign of a good atitude, at lease how I see it. Yes we can man. All foreigners came here with a bit of problem, I'm sure my mother or grandmother at one time or another when I was young took a lice or two out of my head and bite it, just to hear the noise, as you know. But not to taste it or to eat it. I'm sure while she was doing it while telling stories with other ladies around, plenty of maa, eek, boob, bwiros, etc. were cooked and place where the story was going on. We are not hungry or angry when we do that guys. For your information, the manner has nothing to do with the price of the material at wal-mart. Its just for the fun of it. Why? that I don't know. Embarrassing? For us especially the old folks, no. For others yes. Whatever represents our culture, I for one am not ashame of it. I know that Marshallese in US like "guam". I don't mind. -

Racist cops!
