The Marshall Islands High School is looking for replacements for the following teaching positions for the school year 2011 - 12.
1.     Math Teacher (1)   Alg. 2 & Geometry  grade 12
2.    Math Lab Teacher (1)  grades 9 and 10
3.    Government  Teacher (1) grade 12
4.    Government & WH  teacher (1) grades 11 and 12
5.    Physics Teacher (1) grade 12
6.    English Lit. (1) grades 11 and 12
7.    Student Counselor (1)

Grade & Salary:   PL – 10/1 – 10/3  $18,000.00 -  $ 20,000.00 per  annum

Duties: 
 
 Provides instruction to assigned classes as designated in the school’s master schedule.   Create a classroom environment conductive to learning and appropriate to the materials and interest of the students.    Improvises  materials for use in the subject area or in the curricula.   Develops  resources for teaching from the natural surroundings.   Adapts teaching to the cultural situation of the Marshallese child.   Assesses the accomplishments of the students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.   Maintains accurate records of each student attendance, enrollment, students’ assessment and reports on each child to the parents and to the principal/head teacher.    Submits report s to the immediate  supervisor on time as required.   Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Qualification Requirements: 

 Graduation from a recognized college with an Associate & Bachelor Degrees in Education , or related field plus at least three (3) years of teaching experience; or any combination of education and experience which may be acceptable to the RMI Public Service Commission.
