Starting August 8-12, 2011, MIVA in partnership with Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Micronesia Chapter, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands Small Business Development Center(RMI SBDC), supported by the United Airlines, will be sponsoring a tourism training/workshop for RMI’s tourism industry.

The training/workshop consists of diving:  Open Water Basic (35ft depth) and Advanced (100ft depth) Dive Training. – PADI certified.  The workshop will take place in the Marshal Island’s Resort’s Jemanin Lounge.

If you want your dive employees to be certified divers, please register right away because space is limited.  The participation fee is $200 which will be utilized for the training/workshop materials and other incurred expenses.
The trainer is Eric McClure of Micronesia Dive Adventures in Guam.  Thanks also to the Coastal Management Advisory Council (CMAC) members for helping with diving equipments and other necessities to make the training a success.
Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least 72 hours in advance; contact the MIVA office by phone at 625-6482 or email Emelyn Simon at  Services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
