Articles: Taiwan Doctor Fills OB/GYN Gap in Marshall Islands
In continuation of Taiwan's medical mission commitment to the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), Dr. Shu-Dong SUN of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital arrived in Majuro on June 16, 2012 to help address the need of doctors specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is scheduled to work with his colleagues in Majuro Hospital from June 19 to August 1.
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is working in coordination with the RMI Ministry of Health and the National Taipei Hospital of the ROC Department of Health.
Dr. SUN replaces Dr. Fung-chao TU, also from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, who served under the sponsorship of National Taipei Hospital. He arrived with the Taiwan Medical Mission delegation from the National Taipei Hospital on April 26 and stayed on-island to provide his expertise through June 13.
