Articles: Taiwan "Goodwill Squadron" to Visit Marshall Islands
The 2011 Republic of China (Taiwan) Midshipman Cruising and Training Squadron is scheduled to visit the Marshall Islands, April 10-12. Consisting of 3 battleships with approximately 800 crew members, the ROC Naval Goodwill Squadron, will make port in the capital atoll of Majuro.
According to Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visiting fleet will host Open House tours of the Battleship "Cheng Ho" at the Delap Dock, on Sunday and Monday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Several activities are scheduled for Monday afternoon at the ECC gym. At 3 p.m., the ROCN Squadron will match-off in a “friendly” basketball game with local Marshallese teams.
From 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the ROC Navy Honor Guards, Marching Band, and Marine Corps special team of Martial Arts will perform.
This year's visiting Goodwill Fleet is led by RADM. Tang, Hua.
